Race Point Beach
Part of the Cape Cod National Seashore and is known for its expansive sandy shores and strong Atlantic waves, making it a favorite for surfers and those who enjoy a more rugged beach experience. The beach is accessible year-round, and during the summer, lifeguards are on duty, and the beach is a popular spot for sunbathing, swimming, and whale watching. Beach fire permits are available, allowing visitors to enjoy a cozy evening around a fire while watching the sunset. However, caution is advised due to the presence of seals, which can attract great white sharks. Do yourself a favor, get a pizza from Spiritus, some kind of drink, and go camp out to watch the sunset - you’re at the end of the earth, enjoy it. [$25 parking fee - beach fires by permit]
